Converse’s new Chuck Taylor collection is a modern take on the iconic platform sneaker

For its Fall/Winter ’20 collection, Converse is releasing Chuck Taylor All Star-style platform sneakers, designed to elevate movement – literally. The new collection is a modern take on the platform sneaker and the Chuck Taylor Run Star Hike collection, a hightop with a platform sole. 

The new iteration of the classic Chuck Taylor platform was designed specifically with women in mind and for all-day comfort on the streets. It boasts an elated Eva foam midsole, which delivers ultra-lightweight comfort and proportion. Plus, the new range features a translucent ankle patch and houndstooth detail – an edgy take on the traditional checkered pattern. 

Converse has described the new Move sneaker as a “nuanced take on contemporary mash-up culture”, which feels apt, don’t you think? 

In line with its commitment to fuel youth movement and expression, Converse also collaborated with young creatives from around the world to co-create a lookbook for its new ‘elevated classics’. Working digitally and independently, these creatives worked to concept, style and art direct the project.

The Chuck Taylor All Star Move is now available online, in Converse stores and other select retailers.
