Designer makes lettuce slides so vegans can let everyone know they’re vegan

Coles produce, but make it fashion.

Taking a love of veganism to extreme levels, designer Mats Rombaut has created a pair of lettuce slides.

Fashioned to look like regular Iceberg lettuce, the slides are made from 100 per cent rubber in a suitably green colourway.

According to an interview with Vogue, the concept was based on Rombaut’s existing vegetable shoe sculptures. If you too like the idea of wearable Coles produce, you can pick up a pair for roughly $168.

But you better be quick, the Lettuce Slides are extremely limited, with only 50 pairs available.
