Dion Lee takes on NYFW with a collection of underwear as outerwear

Our Aussie pride is swelling after checking out pictures from Dion Lee’s Fall 18 runway at NYFW over the weekend.
Exploring sensuality and utilitarian elements, Lee once again re-imagined classic tailored pieces, presenting garments which fused outerwear and underwear.
Brassieres were merged with dresses, jumpers and blazers, visible through cutouts and layering. Texture also played a big part, with silk, wool, fur and the designer’s signature honeycomb mesh used throughout.
Following on from his Spring 18 collection, the collection’s colour palette of grey, white and black was broken up with garments in coral, rust, red and olive.
