ECCO’s new ‘Shape’ collection won’t make you choose between style and comfort

You get the best of both worlds *read as Hannah Montana*.

I don’t know about you, but iso has given me a lot of time to think about what beauty standards I want to subject myself to when I re-enter the world. And upon reflection, I could never give up high heels for good, but I don’t want to subject myself to a world of pain in the name of looking cute either.

Enter, ECCO. The Danish shoe wizards have been known for merging quality and cutting-edge technology since the 1960s. So while creating heels that are both truly comfortable and truly stylish is no mean feat, ECCO has managed to pull it off.

The brand’s new Spring/Summer ’20 collection brings together understated elegance and innovative craftsmanship, to offer boots and heels that won’t require an emergency pair of relief sneakers.

The collection has a number of styles and heel heights, but our favourite right now is the Anine Ballerina flat. The style should carry you through most occasions without a hitch, whether it’s brunch in Brisbane, partying in Perth, or running home at 7:57pm in Melbourne.

The Shape range is crafted from either classic full-grain leather, made in ECCO’s own tanneries, or premium goat suede. Colours include classics like black and grey rose, alongside more summery brights like sangria and marigold.

But the comfort factor of these pumps isn’t just about the gooey-soft leather. It actually owes a lot of that to ECCO’s direct comfort technology titled Fluidform, which mirrors the natural contours of the foot to deliver a finely tuned balance of cushioning and shock-absorption.

For those of us emerging from months of wearing exclusively Birks and socks or ugg boots, the idea that truly comfortable heels could be the new normal feels like the blessing we all deserve right now.

The SS20 Shape collection from ECCO is available online and in stores now.
