MBFWA day two: Backstage at TOME

Reinventing femininity.
One of Australia’s most successful exports is back in Sydney today, and has brought its collection to MBFWA for the first time in the coveted opening slot.
The New York-based label, TOME, and its design talents Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin, presented their Spring/Summer collection this morning, featuring stiff tailored shirts, knife pleated skirts and voluminous trenches.
In a reinvention of femininity through pieces usually considered more masculine, Tome electrified the runway with monochromatic matches embellished with gentle sweeps of cornflower blue, pastel pink and camel shades.

Expectedly, Lobo and Martin also exuded TOME’s signature timelessness in their ready to wear collection this year, kicking off Day Two to a style start.
