A Coco Chanel retrospective is coming to Melbourne
As a part of the ninth annual Paris to Provence festival.
Now that you’ve ticked the House of Dior off the bucket list, it’s time to visit Chanel.
For the first time ever, Como House and Garden is curating a collaborative Chanel retrospective as part of its ninth annual Paris to Provence Festival.
The Coco at Como instalment will celebrate all things Chanel and vintage French. Expect lots of pearls.
The unique event will see 80 rare couture pieces from Coco’s personal collections and international runway shows, courtesy of The Upstyler and Madam Virtue & Co.
Como House has tapped Anton Venoir Interiors to transform the house to resemble Coco’s Rue Cambon apartment. In a major throwback to the 1900s, the mansion will be decked with French antiques, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and original prints from the fashion house.
Guests will be taken through the marble house on a three-part journey.
The guided tours will tell the life of Coco Chanel through a sensory experience, including lighting, interactive displays and a live pianist.
If immersing in French culture and swooning over couture gowns sounds like your thing, you can grab a ticket from Thursday October 5. Earlybirds start at just $12.
