Baz Luhrmann directed a short film to celebrate H&M’s next collaboration
And it’s stunning.
H&M’s highly-anticipated designer collaboration with Erdem is just a week away from release.
Back in July, the collab was announced via teaser trailer courtesy of Baz Luhrmann. The news promised not only a new collection but a short film by the Australian director.
The Secret Life of Flowers dropped yesterday ahead of the collection’s arrival. Set in a mysterious country mansion where it’s always spring, the short follows a modern love story and celebrates Erdem’s signature floral designs.
The whole thing is stunning to watch, and stays true to Luhrmann’s quirky style.
“I wanted the film to be like a whole movie. It’s a very modern love story, set in a country house that is full of its own secrets and it’s like a metaphor for our times – it’s harsh out there in the world, but in here, the things that really matter keep growing in an eternal spring,” Luhrmann said in a statement.
Erdem x H&M arrives on November 2 at select stores globally and online. Check out the short below.
