Chanel has introduced its first-ever watch for men

Now’s the time.

Chanel has introduced its first watch designed specifically for men, the Monsieur de Chanel. And it’s amazing.

It’s been five years in the making and not a detail has been missed. It’s a masterpiece, both aesthetically and mechanically.

Eight specialists worked on the timepiece, which features a jumping hour and a retrograde minute. In layman’s terms: the minute hand jumps back to zero at the end of each hour. These features are intricate and beyond difficult to master, so claps to Chanel for nailing them.

Design-wise the face is minimalistic, wrapped in a refined 40mm gold casing. But the real beauty is on the back. The complex 170-piece motor is on display and it’s truly a visual delight.

The watch is super exclusive too, these beauties are limited to only 300 sets (150 in beige gold and 150 in white gold.) The price is set at a huuuuuge $48,500 and $50,800 respectively, but it’s Chanel, what did you expect? You might want to start saving now.
