First look: House of Cards designer, Ashiya Omundsen, launches new project

Say hello to Supa-Studios.

While we’ve been longtime fans of Melbourne label, House of Cards, designer Ashiya Omundsen has been busy with her next project.

She’s just launched Supa-Studios, an online store presenting a curated selection of pieces from independent, international labels. Think of it as a wishlist of items you didn’t know you needed.

The site was born of a collaboration between Ashiya and Melbourne photographer, Tuscany Gray, who previously worked together on House of Cards.

Reminiscent of designs from the label, Supa-Studio’s offering cleverly plays with shape, adding interest to feminine silhouettes.

Pieces boast ruffled sleeves, red and white gingham, asymmetric hems, shirting stripes and washed denim, all with playful details.

What’s more, the prices are pretty reasonable.

If you’re missing Ashiya’s designs and what she brought to House of Cards, Supa-Studios plans to launch its own designs to feature on the site. We can only dream what that would manifest into.
