International discount retailer, TK Maxx, has just opened in Aus

High end designer brands on the cheaaap.

If owning a Louis Vuitton handbag or a Dolce & Gabbana dress has been an unattainable achievement thanks to a tight bank balance, you might like to know about TK Maxx.

The US retailer has just opened up six stores in Melbourne, with 29 more set to launch across the country in the coming months.

It’s basically like a permanent sample sale for designer labels. You’ll find one-off pieces, in random sizes, for a fraction of the RRP.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, you can expect pieces from Australian labels like Asilio for about half the price, as well as a selection of clothing and accessories from Gucci, Guess, Diane von Furstenberg, Ted Baker and more.

The stores also have a homewares department, just in case you felt like doing up your digs.

Currently, the Melbourne stores include Broadmeadows, Dandenong, Docklands, Fountain Gate and Moorabbin.

Brisbane stores in Alexandra Hills, Browns Plains, Chermside, Fortitude Valley, Macgregor, Morayfield, Oxley and West Ipswich will open on April 22.

If you’re in Sydney, April 27 will see the launch of Campbelltown, Castle Hill, Chatswood, Fairfield, Hillsdale, Mount Druitt and Penrith stores.
