Like a scorned ex-girlfriend, YSL wiped all Slimane-related photos from its Instagram

Catty AF.

When you end any relationship, there is always someone that wins the break-up. And social media has proved to be a great outlet to show just how over the relationship you really are.

Saint Laurent has attempted to use Instagram to prove just how little they care about Hedi Slimane’s departure. Slimane left the French fashion house as creative director last Friday, only to be replaced by Anthony Vaccarello on Monday. Talk about a quick turnaround.

Two days later, someone noticed the brand had wiped all of their Instagram photos, deleting all evidence of the entire Slimane-era. Only one photo remained: a portrait of Vaccarello announcing his appointment.

Like any good break-up story, people have been very eager to give their two cents. One follower @gregnatale wrote: “That’s cute about Anthony but why take down Hedi’s photos? Hedi’s DNA will no dought [sic] be continued. No issue with a new creative director but why erase the past 4 years?”

It seems that a clean slate has been drawn for Vaccarello, who will unveil his first collection for Spring 2017. But like any public break-up, we cannot wait to see what happens next.
