Louis Vuitton to discontinue its Murakami monogram

That’s the rainbow one, guys.

The colourful Takashi Murakami designed Multicolore monogram for Louis Vuitton is officially a thing of the past. Or at least it will be, starting from July.

LVMH, the conglomerate behind Louis Vuitton, has announced that it will be discontinuing the colourway later this year.

It will be sad day. I mean, who can forget Paris Hilton rocking her LV printed bikini back in the day?

The monogram style was designed by Takashi Murakami way back when Marc Jacobs was creative director in 2003.

Now that Nicolas Ghesquière is at the helm of LV, a store rep tells WWD the brand would prefer to “look forward.”
