Most of us never think about how much time we actually spend in front of screens. As confessed Snapchat, Facebook (and now Pokémon Go) addicts, our screen time has increased to embarrassing levels and (not to sound like a nagging parent) it’s definitely not doing any good for our eyesight.
The average Australian spends almost over 18 hours a day online, across at least three different devices. The blue light emitted from our tablets, computers and (especially) smart phones, has been proven to disrupt our sleep patterns and even cause retinal damage.
Oscar Wylee has always made affordable and high quality frames with a vintage feel to its designs. Luckily, the brand is also conscious of the science behind its lenses and have introduced a new range of Blue Light Lenses designed to combat the levels of blue light we’re exposed to on a daily basis.
The new lenses are also designed to soothe the discomfort of heavily strained, fatigued eyes by allowing beneficial blue-turquoise light to pass through. It’s almost a bonus that they’re extremely good looking too.
