Skin and Threads opens in Melbourne’s Albert Park

Basics make their way to Albert Park.

Skin and Threads have just set up shop in Melbourne’s Albert Park. This will be the sixth stand-alone boutique for the Aussie label.

It’s a lovely location and even lovelier architecture. Architect, Demie Manolas, has channelled the Skin and Threads simple and clean philosophy with a number of design choices, including polished concrete floors, oak panelling, marble clothes hooks, bespoke light fittings, and even a few family photos in the change rooms. Cuteee.

Founders Penelope Cohen and Emma Gathercole are pretty excited about the opening, so they’re offering customers a free Skin And Threads merino wool scarf (worth $49) with any purchase up until Sunday, March 8. Gimme gimme.
