Someone has created clothing made from coffee
Dreams really do come true.
While most coffee grounds end up in landfill (or all over our delicious bods), one business is giving them new life.
Australian outdoor retailer, Mountain Designs, is upcycling coffee grounds in the form of high performance jackets and outdoor wear.
With more than 18 months research behind it, the range uses sustainable practices to create breathable, warm and windproof jackets and vests for men, women and children.
According to Mountain Designs product developer Sandra Heidelmann, “Mountain designs has always used ethically-sourced down, but we wanted to go further and not just use natural material but reclaim and re-use waste.”
“We continue striving to be at the forefront of design and technology in outdoor and travel wear,” she says.
The lining offers protection from wind and water, and the coffee fibre means this range will dry quicker than a traditional down jacket.
Now there’s no excuse to avoid these cold mornings, with your daily coffee fix right there in your wardrobe.
