Spotlight on: Meraki Collections

With soul, creativity and love.

If you’ve been wanting to make a positive change when it comes to your wardrobe, Meraki Collections is one to check out.

Stemming from Greek origins, ‘meraki’ means to put something of yourself into a piece of work and to do it with soul, creativity and love. This is the ethos of designer, Dayana Adones, and it led her to start up her own label.

Meraki is founded on values of equality and respect for people and the earth. The resulting offering of minimal coats and tops is made in small runs in Melbourne with high quality textiles to ensure longevity.

Cementing the label’s commitment to slow fashion, Meraki’s website includes a section to showcase other like-minded brands committed to ethical processes. The label has also just been accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia, meaning you can be confident Meraki’s supply chains are transparent and legally compliant.

If that isn’t enough to inspire you and restore a little faith in the fashion industry, 10 per cent of every Meraki purchase will be donated to beyondblue, to help those suffering from mental illness.
