These new Chuck Taylors are helping raise money for bone marrow research

Supporting Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision.

Converse has stepped up its support of Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, launching its second limited-edition Chuck Taylor All Star x Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision purple sneaker.

Twenty dollars from the sale of each pair will go directly towards much-needed research for bone marrow failure.

In 2016, Converse raised over $20,000 from sales of the purple Maddie Chuck.

This year’s release will see the sneaker available both adults and kids sizing (having previously only been made for adults), allowing the whole family to support the cause.

“Purple represents the humour and spirit with which Maddie fought her battle – it became her favourite colour during her fight. It represents the cytotoxic waste containers for the treatments that were used to treat her disease; it signified getting better and having hope,” said Maddie’s Vision director of marketing and communications, Alex Riewoldt.

“And of course, family was everything to Maddie. To think that all members of Australian families can show their support through this symbolic partnership would mean so much to her.”

The shoes are available now from the Converse website and selected Converse stores across Victoria.
