This label is mixing vintage fashion with grunge with art
The clash.
Father Superior is a gutter-punk, grunge-couture label bringing hand-painted jackets to the fashion scene.
The experimental brand is a collaboration between internationally renowned Sydney artists, Jodee Knowles and Gerard Cranney. And they’ve seamlessly combined their dark art with high fashion.
Drawing on their favourite childhood characters, the pair bring a sense of nostalgia to every jacket. Each vintage piece is carefully selected and intricately customised, to depict some of cult-cinema’s greatest villains.
The small 20-piece collection is set to launch at Sydney Fashion Week on May 19, at Ambush Gallery. If you like what you see, these babies will be sold online here.
