Exploring the Fashion and Textiles collection.
Over the weekend, the NGV opened up its archive doors, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at its expansive Fashion and Textiles collection.
Forming part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival lineup, the event was facilitated by Pageant designers, Amanda Cumming and Kate Reynolds. Both showcased their favourite pieces from the archives, talking through the impact the NGV collection has had on their work.
Alongside Fashion and Textiles Curator of the NGV, Danielle Whitfield, the designers shared how pieces from Raf Simons, Moschino, Prada and more have influenced their own designs.
