Gucci drops a $5,000 backpack that kind of looks like carpet

Gucci has taken inspiration from vintage tapestries for its latest accessories release, revealing an oversized backpack crafted from delicate green velvet jacquard.

The backpack features a floral pattern all over, and is finished with a brown leather trim. On the inside, you can expect nylon lining, while silver hardware and an embossed Gucci logo feature on the outer.

According to the Gucci website, the product also takes cue from the hiking world, with details including detachable zip pouches on the side, adjustable shoulder straps and a drawstring closure.

Originally presented as part of Gucci’s Spring Summer 2019 runway, the Large Floral Backpack is available online for $5,025 a piece.
