A new era.

Since his abrupt departure from Saint Laurent in 2016, we’ve been patiently waiting to hear what Hedi Slimane would do next.

As confirmed by fashion group LMVH, Slimane will join Céline as its new Artistic and Creative Director. He’ll succeed Phoebe Philo, who will present her last Autumn 2018 collection in March.

Slimane will take the helm from February 1, and will introduce menswear couture and fragrance to the brand’s offering. The announcement comes at an exciting time for Céline, which only launched its e-commerce site and Instagram in 2017.

We can expect Slimane’s first collection to debut during Paris Fashion Week in September.
