Puma’s latest release is a tribute to ’90s streetwear

Words by Nikki Escalante.

For the ’90s kids.

The iconic Puma Suede turns 50 this year, and it’d be no Puma anniversary without a new sneaker to mark the occasion.

Kicking off celebrations, the brand has teamed up with FUBU to welcome a new red and black Suede sneaker into the mix.

In classic FUBU fashion, the release gives a real ’90s touch to the original Suede design.

Alongside interchangeable laces, the shoe features a black velour upper with red piping. And a commemorative gold ‘50’ logo is stapled on the tongue.

On top of the sneaker release, Puma and FUBU have also dropped a limited run of apparel.

The line is inspired by FUBU’s iconic tracksuit and suede collections. Think tees, jackets and black velour tracksuits finished with satin red stripes.

Each item is available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes.

If you want to get your hands on the capsule collection, pop into your closest Puma store from January 26. Also available online.
