The secret is out.
After weeks of Instagram teasing with the hashtag #newjob, Simon Porte Jacquemus has finally let us in on the secret: he’s launching a menswear collection.
A few days before the Fall 2018 runway, Jacquemus dropped some info on the mystery venture he’d been hinting at. He announced the new job would be within his own house, dispelling rumours he was jumping ship.
Our answer came unconventionally at the show itself, when the designer closed the show wearing a hoodie saying “New job L’Homme Jacquemus.”
While he admits the announcement was dramatic and a touch naive, we can’t blame Jacquemus for taking the opportunity to have a bit of fun.
The nature of the collection is yet to be revealed, but we know it’ll be dropping sometime mid-year.
