“Always remember to always say thank you to the bus driver.”

Hi Ben! First off, how old are you?

I’m a ’97 baby, so 22 years old.

Where do you live?

I live in Newtown, Sydney. I’m living with my boyfriend, a friend who’s a sex worker, and another who’s a drag queen, so between the four of us you could say we really have the whole ‘Newtown-vibe’ covered.

Other than modelling, what do you do with your time?

I’m currently studying law at university and working at a law firm in the city. I promise you it’s not as glamorous as Suits makes it out to be. Other than that boring stuff I promise I’m fun and spend far too much of my spare time at festivals and far more money than I’d like to admit on beer and Vietnamese food.

Tell us about your heritage?

My mum’s side is from New Zealand (the UK if we really want to go back far) and my dad’s side are originally from Poland.

What do you do to switch off?

People generally look at me like I’m a psychopath when I tell them this but to switch off, I love to run. It’s not even a fitness thing, I just find once I’m running I can pop in my earphones and everything else just disappears for a bit.

There’s a lot to care about in the world. What are you most passionate about?

The thing that I am most passionate about is climate change. Planet Earth is incredible: its diverse ecosystems, its life forms and its astounding beauty make it unique and unlike anything we have found in all of outer space to date. Watching the reefs die, the ice caps melt, the forests burn and the increasing number of animals facing extinction… I think you’d have to be pretty soulless not to feel passionately about something like that.

What are you doing to fix it?

Well, to start off I immediately became vegetarian when I found out how detrimental the meat industry is to the environment. Seriously, the most powerful way for people to have a positive impact on the climate to is stop eating meat (especially red meat). Or to at least cut down on it.

What do you think Australia needs right now?

A damn new Prime Minister.

You can say anything to our FJ community. Go.

Remember to always say thank you to the bus driver.
