An espadrille is the king of summer footwear – it offers protection for your feet while still leaving you cool on 40-degree days. On that note, let us introduce you to Joab, the label bringing handmade Turkish espadrilles to Australia.
Each Joab shoe is handstitched and crafted from leather, in a workshop employing Turkish locals and refugees displaced by the Syrian conflict. You can expect the expertise of five generations of shoemakers behind each design, ensuring meticulous attention to detail with every shoe.
The espadrilles are available in men’s and women’s styles, using a variety of high-quality materials like leather, nubuck and pony hair in a range of colours. Due to the artisanal nature of the production process, no two pairs are identical.
