And they’re made entirely from the brands’ denim clothing off-cuts.
Melbourne-based artist and designer Moss Tunstall and Bellbrae-based slow fashion designer Krystal Deans have joined forces to create a collection of 30 one-of-a-kind denim bags. Each bag is made entirely from their combined denim clothing off-cuts, and the pair used a combination of bleaching, screenprinting and dying to rework the denim, giving it a new lease on life.
The collection came to life during lockdown, via lots of trips up and down Princes Freeway and numerous voice memos. The bags will be displayed in an exhibition in Melbourne at At The Above studio this Saturday December 19, from 6 to 8pm. The bags will be available to purchase from At The Above on Sunday December 20, from 11 to 4pm.
