Some of the best looks spotted at M/FW, captured on film.

Day five of Melbourne Fashion Week 2025 marked one of the most exciting events on the M/FW calendar: the Student Collections Runway. The anticipated showcase drew a particularly diverse crowd, including 30 student designers and their fellow classmates, proud parents and grandparents, influencers and industry people alike.

All turned up to Younghusband, a 120-year-old red brick woolstore in Kensington, dressed to the nines and ready to show their support for Australia’s future fashion designers. The runway itself was exceptional, with no shortage of whimsical, conceptual collections that had onlookers audibly gasping every few seconds.

As an official media partner of the event, we were there last night to document some of the standout ensembles, both before and after the show (see our highlights from the actual runway here). Enjoy all the street style inspiration captured on film, through photographer Lekhena Porter’s lens.
