The best street style, pre and post-show.
Last night marked the highlight on every Melbourne Fashion Week attendee’s calendar: The Student Collections Runway. The epic showcase, which featured graduate collections from 40 student designers, pulled a particularly vibrant and diverse crowd, including fellow classmates, proud parents and grandparents there to support.
The runway was a feast for the senses, from delightfully avant-garde collections to more subdued pieces that had us whispering “I’d wear the shit out of those pants” to our neighbour. Box Hill Institute student Nam Tran took home the prestigious Student Designer Award for 2024, with their show-stopping lilac collection inspired by scenes from their homeland in Vietnam.

As an official media partner of the event, we were there last night to capture some of the standout street style outfits, pre and post-show. Clashing patterns, leather corsets, whimsical accessories and pops of Y2K nostalgia featured heavily in our favourite looks, snapped by photographer Robyn Daly.
