Nike’s new running shoe comes with stencils for DIY customisation
The Doodle Bear of the footwear world.
Nike’s been allowing personalisation of its sneakers for a little while now through NIKEiD. But the option for DIY customisation is a new one.
The sportswear giant has announced its next Flyknit creation, the Gakou Flyknit. And it comes complete with rubber stencils so you can play around with Nike’s logos however you like.
The shoe merges aspects of Nike’s Aqua Sock and Sock Racer silhouettes and features a suede heel tag, flexible sole and laceless upper.
According to Nike, indecision about where to place the brand’s iconic Swoosh lead to the creation of rubber stencils for at-home customisation.
The shoe is set for release on August 24, with no word yet on whether we’ll get it Down Under.
