Ralph Lauren has launched a Rachel Green-inspired collection for Friends’ 25th anniversary

There’ll also be a Central Perk pop-up.

As of this year, it’s been 25 years since hit sitcom, Friends, first hit our television screens.

In his way of celebrating the show and Rachel Green’s style legacy, Ralph Lauren teamed up with Warner Bros. on an exciting new collection.

In a series of “Wear to Work” pieces, Lauren took inspiration from the show’s resident fashionista Rachel Green, played by Jennifer Aniston, the show’s most fashion-forward character.

This collaboration is especially fitting as Green, throughout the 10-season series, worked for the brand for five years. Lauren himself even made a brief cameo in an episode.

The real-life collection plays up components of Green’s working wardrobe, from power suits, polo necks, mini-skirts and leather trousers, each garment has undergone small updates to suit a 2019 working gal’s wardrobe.
In a nod to both Friend’s fashion and today’s trends, pops of leopard print are sprinkled throughout the desk-appropriate collection.

The collection will go for sale under Lauren’s more affordable branches; Polo Ralph Lauren and Lauren Ralph Lauren, at Bloomingdale’s, New York – where Green got her first retail job – from September 21.

Along with the selection of Ralph Lauren x Rachel Green pieces, Bloomingdale’s is setting up a replica of Central Perk, the coffee shop where Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Joey, Chandler and Ross spent most of their time. Shoppers can grab a cup of coffee and a snap of themselves on the café’s iconic orange sofa.

If you’re not frequenting New York, you can check out the campaign and purchase the collection online.
