It’s been a short while since we celebrated our print relaunch and the re-entry of Fashion Journal into the wild. With a new design, new format and on new FSC certified premium stock, issue 195 marks a new chapter for Fashion Journal. Naturally, we’re still buzzing.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve loved watching you flip through our pages (we still can’t believe we’re saying that, pages!) and yes, we’ve heard your calls for even more copies to be distributed above the thousands already released. We wanted to give this first edition time to live in a print-only format for a while. If you’re quick, you can still pick up the issue at a number of points across Melbourne and Sydney, including some of our favourite retailers and boutiques, vintage stores, cafes, salons and more dotted around the two cities.

For more shoots, articles and features, head to our Fashion section.

It’s also important to us that readers can access Fashion Journal without barriers such as cost, physical access, or having to cross state and international borders. So for those yet to pick up a copy, we’re pleased to present it below. You can flip through the mag, in its entirety, for free.

We acknowledge the many editors before this issue who have shaped us over decades, as well as the Traditional Owners of Country across the many lands on which Fashion Journal is made and whose rich history of storytelling inspires us daily.

Because of them, in these pages, you’ll find so many brilliant stories, both visual and written. Flip through for a cover shoot that heroes pre-loved fashion, reflecting how a growing number of Australians are coming to dress. Browse our beauty editorial that features no retouching of the model’s skin because Carol, a fan of Fashion Journal since before most of our team were born, is radiant without it. Read the voices of many women who have found joy in moving up a dress size, and those who are continuing to question how they’re consuming fashion. Peruse love letters to local designers, written by their peers, in a heartwarming chain of admiration.

We adored making this issue and hope you’ll love reading it just as much. Open it fullscreen to get the full experience. When done, send it to your friends, your mum, your colleagues and anyone else you think will appreciate it and fall in love with Fashion Journal. As an independently owned business, it helps us grow.
