Prepare to forgo doing any real work today: Niantic has just released the beta version of its Harry Potter: Wizards Unite game in Australia and New Zealand.

For the uninitiated, Wizards Unite is basically the HP version of Pokémon Go, allowing you to see wizards and artefacts in AR.

Basically, you’ll spend your time looking for ‘Foundables’ – wizarding objects that have been scattered all over the world. It’s your job to help the Ministry find them, in order to prevent the wizarding world from becoming exposed to muggles.

Much like Pokémon Go, you’re dropped into a map, which moves along with you as you walk. Once you detect a trace of magic, the Founables appear in AR and you capture them with a spell. So far, we’ve picked up Hagrid, a fire-breathing chicken and a dragon liver.

The gameplay’s a little confusing so far but regardless, it’s worth downloading just to see Hagrid appear on your desk IRL.

The beta version of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is available on iPhone and Android now.
