Save your pennies for September 17.
UNIQLO has revealed the date for its Spring/Summer ’20 UNIQLO U collection. Come September 17, the brand’s ongoing collaboration with Uniqlo U’s Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire and his Parisian team of designers will be ready to purchase. This collaborative line with ex Hermés designer, Lemaire, has been released seasonally since 2016.
In true UNIQLO style, the collection combines practicality and sophistication, allowing you to enhance your wardrobe with high-quality items without spending a small fortune. The Spring/Summer ’20 collection is a curation of ‘Future LifeWear Essentials’ pieces – reimagined classics with a contemporary twist that are intended to be long-term wardrobe staples.
Through innovative fabrics and functional designs, the women’s range is designed to empower the free-spirited individual – think oversized shirts, boyfriend denim and an abundance of polo-style shirts, all enhanced with subtle femininity. The collection of basics has an understated luxury that provides a solution to those in-between style moments. I’m already eyeing off a pastel, collared sweater.
Inspired by vintage workwear and military garments, the men’s range combines a modern aesthetic with old fashioned practicality (read: there are a whole lot of spacious pockets). The range features soft, earthy tones which all complement each other well, AKA shopping made easy for the colour tone-deaf.
The entire range will be available online and in select UNIQLO stores. Limited items from the collection will also be available at other locations, so make sure you check online before visiting.
