This label lets you design your dream dress from scratch

A new kind of DIY.

Picture this: you’re shopping, and you find the perfect dress. Perfect, that is, if only the neckline was a different shape, or it was a different colour.

Aussie brand Mies The Label has developed a system to combat that feeling of frustration. Specialising in customised garments, the label’s DIY approach lets you be the designer and create your ideal dress.

The online building tool lets customers make blueprints of dresses, changing details like skirt shape, sleeve length, neckline and fabric choice. All pieces are then made to order locally in Melbourne. This cuts down on waste, as there’s no excess stock left lying around gathering dust.

Of course, if all those decisions seem overwhelming, you can always pick from the label’s pre-designed boutique range too.
