Vans’ new UltraRange EXO is an all-around upgrade

Words by Mariah Papadopoulos

Comfort and clout.

Vans has been a streetwear staple for over 50 years, so there’s something to be said for the brand’s longevity and influence in the sneaker sector.

The latest release, Vans UltraRange EXO, is another iteration of the classic Vans style, but with an adapted silhouette.

This time it’s all about bringing a more comfortable shoe to Vans fans, with heightened grip and durability listed among the shoe’s top features.

The sneakers in the collection are inspired by the Old Skool Vans, with a twist. They’re all souped up with a moulded heel, breathable upper and cushioned midsole, providing plenty of traction and airflow all day long.

Keeping in line with the theme of being comfortable, confident and ready for the unexpected, even the photoshoot for the collection was spontaneous. Photographer Matthew Correia followed artists John Zabawa, Upendo, musician Lee-Ann Curren, and photographer Jennifer Bin through Lisbon and Jakarta, taking photos along the way.

The UltraRange EXO will be available in-store and online from February.
