Vans and Purlicue are dropping a collection for the Chinese Lunar New Year

New year, new kicks.

Vans has teamed up with Chinese label Purlicue to celebrate the Lunar New Year in style.

The pair are releasing a collection called Year of the Pig, featuring four new footwear designs.

Included in the range are two suede updates on the Era, one in pink with black outsoles and another in white with red. There are also red or black Sk8-Hi styles, complete with an oversized side stripe.

Wide cotton shoelaces are introduced, as well as an exaggerated ‘Off The Wall’ heel tab and the slogan ‘The Fat Year’ – a traditional Chinese greeting – on Vans’ iconic waffle outsoles.

Year of the Pig will be available online and in selected Vans and partner stores worldwide from January 2019.
