End of an era.

The long, turbulent reign of Victoria’s Secret may have finally come to an end.

An internal staff memo from parent company L Brand has revealed that the label’s formerly beloved fashion show will no longer be aired on TV.

The decision is hardly surprising, considering the show’s abysmal ratings last year. Or you could blame the heavy dose of controversy stirred up by chief marketing officer Ed Razek’s transphobic Vogue interview.

Either way, the label is apparently looking to rebrand, and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is taking the first hit.

According to the New York Times, the memo came from L Brand’s chief executive Leslie Wexner, and detailed plans to pull the show from the air.

“We have decided to re-think the traditional Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” he explained. “Going forward we don’t believe network television is the right fit.”

If you still hold out hope for Victoria’s Secret’s growth and evolution, or you’ll just miss the great musical performances that accompanied the show, don’t get too upset.

Wexner promised the company was developing “a new kind of event” to replace the annual runway, which would air on different, unnamed platforms. Details are slim at the moment, but worth keeping an eye out for.
