Here’s your first glimpse at the ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ reboot

Excitement is buzzing around Netflix’s reboot (and Riverdale spinoff) of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, after executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa posted a first-look photo to Twitter (below).
The image captured an adorable moment between leading couple Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and Harvey (Ross Lynch).
The pic’s a sharp contrast to reports that this version of Sabrina will be a lot darker than the light-hearted original. If you ask us, the pair are doing a great job at following the footsteps left by Melissa Joan Hart and Nate Richert.
Announced in September last year, the reboot is based on the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics. The series is set to be a dark coming-of-age story which finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature – half-witch, half-mortal.
In a win for Aussies, Australian actress Miranda Otto has been cast as Aunt Zelda. Aunt Hilda will be played by English actress Lucy Davis.
The series is scheduled to feature two 20-episode seasons. We cannot wait.
