Yes, really.

Contrary to popular belief, the Great Wall of China wasn’t built to keep the rabbits out. It was built as a border to keep out invaders.

Now, Airbnb has partnered with the Beijing Tourism Development Committee in an effort to bring people together, by hosting a competition to stay at the Great Wall.

Yep, you could win a night at the first-ever Airbnb inside the Great Wall of China. Cue bragging rights for the rest of your life.

This coming September, four lucky people (and their guests) will get the entire wall to themselves for one night each.

You’ll be treated to an intimate sunset dinner, a classical Chinese concert and a calligraphy lesson as part of the package. You’ll also get to partake on a hike up to the highest watchtower at sunrise. It doesn’t get much better than that.

So, how do you win?

All participants need to do is answer the below question in 550 characters or less. Extra points will be given for creativity and originality.

“Why is it more important now than ever to break down barriers between cultures? How would you want to build new connections? Share your own story why you deserve this magical night.”

The competition is open to Australians with an Airbnb account, with flights from your closest airport included.

You’ll need to be over the age of 21, possess a passport with a validity of six months, and be able to travel to China between the dates of September 3 to 9.

If staying overnight at the Great Wall of China sounds like a dream come true, head here to enter.
