Throwback.

When you reach a milestone – like 75 years in business – it only makes sense you reflect on how you got to where you are.

And that’s exactly what IKEA has done with its new collection.

The brand is relaunching pieces from the 1950s to 2000s, in celebration of its 75th birthday.

Under the title Gratulera, the release will be broken down into three collections, each featuring pieces from a period of 20 years.

Expect reinterpretations of the most popular furniture, lighting and tableware pieces from each period, including the first Klippan sofa and retro Ekenäset armchair.

Collection one (1950s – 1960s) will drop this month, before collections two (1970s – 1980s) and three (1990s – 2000s) in October and December respectively.
