An ‘Alice in Wonderland’ exhibit is coming to Melbourne

Words by Nicole La Ruffa

Down the rabbit hole.

ACMI is delving into a childhood classic, bringing an immersive exhibition to Melbourne in April.

Wonderland invites you to explore how special effects in filmmaking have reimagined Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass for more than a century.

The interactive journey commences in Carroll’s drawing room, where your very own Lost Map of Wonderland will guide you through the Hallway of Doors, the Red Queen’s Croquet Ground and the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Plus, you’ll find more than 300 unique objects sourced from all over the globe, including costumes, props, sketches and more.
