BoF releases official ‘The Best Companies To Work For In Fashion 2017’ list

Brb, quitting my job.

Most of us will spend the next 40 to 50 years working. It’s a dismal truth and while buying a lotto ticket per day is one way to try and get yourself out of that not-so-ideal situation, it’s not likely to pay off.

Instead, you should probably start looking for a job you actually don’t mind. Today, Business of Fashion released a report on the best fashion companies to work for worldwide. Resumes at the ready, guys.

The first in what will be an annual report, The Best Companies To Work For In Fashion 2017 compiled survey results of over 2,600 individuals working at over 190 leading fashion companies globally. They were asked to respond to questions across three main areas: rewards and benefits, leadership and development, and working culture and environment.

But enough of that, we bet you’d just like to know who is tops when it comes to working in fashion industry.

The report lists 16 companies which BoF deems to be the leading employers for 2017. adidas, Calvin Klein, Farfetch, GAP Inc, Gucci, H&M, Levi’s, Nordstrom Inc, Tommy Hilfiger and Zara have all made it onto the list.

French brands, Berluti and Galeries Lafayette; Spanish luxury house, Loewe; American eyewear company, Warby Parker; and German e-tailer Zalando also made it.

Making our hearts swell with pride, one Australian company also made it onto the list, Cotton On Group. The company earned its spot by offering a competitive salary and employee perks, including on-site osteopaths, personal trainers and flexible hours.
