Book review: The House on Half Moon Street

An impressive debut.

Set in Victorian-era London, the story charts new territory for the crime genre by following a transgender protagonist in their bid to solve a murder-mystery.

It presents a refreshing narrative with twists evident in every chapter; just when you think you’ve solved it, Alex Reeve proves you wrong.

The book provides a gripping take on all of the ugly parts of our world, which is even more impressive when you consider this is Reeve’s novel debut.

I’ll be waiting patiently for his next release.
