As usual, when it comes to exclusive beverage launches, Coca-Cola Japan is yards ahead.

The company has just revealed its latest product, Clear Coca-Cola. The drink is completely transparent with a slight lemon twist and contains zero calories.

According to sources, 50 different samples of the formula were experimented with before the brand committed to a zero-calorie version. To achieve its transparent colour, the signature caramel ingredient in regular coke was replaced with lemon, resulting in a refreshing soda alternative.

The new and improved Clear Coca-Cola is set to launch exclusively in Japan June 11.

We’ll wait our turn patiently.
