Book review: Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls 2

Words by Tara Smith

Tales of remarkable women.

While targeted at children, we could all do with a read of the second Rebel Girls instalment.

Filled with 100 short one-page fairytale-like bios of remarkable women – Ellen DeGeneres, Beyoncé, J.K. Rowling, more – the book encourages girls (and boys) to break barriers, push themselves and challenge norms.

Each story is accompanied by colourful illustrations of said females, making this hardback both a great in-bed read and a good-looking coffee table book.

In a time when women’s rights are being given the spotlight they deserve, it’s an important read.

Gift this to the littlies in your life, or just treat yourself with some easy to digest feminist inspiration.
