Book Review: The Name on the Door is Not Mine

Simultaneously poetic and engaging.

For anyone looking to get to know the work of the esteemed C.K. Stead, this may just be a perfect introduction.

It’s a collection of short works by the literary giant, including new short stories and prize-winning prose.

As someone who doesn’t usually envelope myself in literature, I found Stead’s work simultaneously poetic and engaging. Each story is elegantly written and yet, accessible. It never left me feeling out of my depth.

Bonus points go out to the publisher for the cover selection, too. I probably wouldn’t have picked up The Name on the Door is Not Mine without it.
