The final straw.

Seeing as yesterday was Earth Day, it seems fitting that today we can bring you some excellent earth-related news.

Introducing FinalStraw, an initiative aiming to rid the world of single-use plastic. The Kickstarter project is funding a collapsible, reusable drinking straw, made from stainless steel and medical grade tubing. It fits discretely on your keychain in a 100 per cent recycled case, so you can take it with you anywhere.

According to the campaign, one FinalStraw can save 584 plastic straws from entering our oceans and landfill, which is a damn good excuse to get involved.

The product is BPA free, dishwasher-safe and comes with its own squeegee, ensuring the inside of your straw is always fresh and clean.

For roughly $26, you can pledge to the campaign and receive your own straw with case and squeegee. However in four short days, the Kickstarter has already raised over $527,000, smashing its goal of $16,000 out of the park.

The estimated delivery for the FinalStraw is November 2018. Get yours here.
