More than ink.

Later this month, Melbourne’s Immigration Museum will host a program exploring historical and contemporary tattoo practices.

Our Bodies, Our Voices, Our Marks invites its audience to look at the artistry behind tattoos, as well as their role in forming identity and fostering human connection.

Three separate exhibitions will take a deep dive into different cultural perspectives on tattooing. The program will look at Samoan, Japanese, Australian, and Australian First Nations tattoo culture.

Guests can preview the exhibitions, talk to artists, and enjoy a themed bar at the show’s launch on May 23. Tickets are on sale here.
