Winter has come.

If you, like us, are still just getting over the news that Game of Thrones won’t return until 2019, a trip to Finland may just be the way to tide you over.

Take a look at Lapland Hotels’ SnowVillage. Crafted in collaboration with HBO Nordic, the village consists of a hotel, ice restaurant, bar and chapel, entirely themed around the show.

It’s been designed by sculptors from Russia, Poland, Latvia and Ukraine, who used 20 million kilos of snow and 350,000 kilos of clear natural ice to finish the temporary build.

Complete with 30 rooms, the village features a life-sized iron throne, Braavosi Hall of Faces and of course, sculptures of white walkers with glowing eyes. The hotel’s suits offer what the website describes as a “comfortable temperature” of between -2C and -5C and include “high quality sleeping bags,” to keep you warm at night.

The SnowVillage is open ’til April, leaving you just enough time to sort your annual leave.
