Dora’s all grown up.
It seems live-action remakes aren’t slowing down, with Dora the Explorer next in line for a big screen debut.
Yep, that’s right, beloved Dora is going on a real-life adventure. First announced in late 2017, we’ve finally been gifted a look at the full-length trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
The film appears to have a more grown-up tone compared to the Nick Jr. version, with Dora sent to complete high school while her parents go in search of the Lost City. From there, things seem to only get more get action-packed, though we wouldn’t expect anything less from a Michael Bay film.
Will the film feature the infamous backpack song or a request for everyone to scream “MAP!” at the screen one hundred times? We’ll be curious to see what nostalgic nods to the OG are brought back to life.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold won’t be out until August, but in the meantime you can watch the trailer below.
